Eucalyptus. What is it? Eucalyptus is a flowering tree in the myrtle family originating from Australia. Key Benefits: Provides a fresh, invigorating feeling to skin. Known as a natural antibacterial and can have disinfectant properties. Fragrant oil offers a natural, pleasant aromatic versus a synthetic fragrance. Macadamia nut oil. What is it? Macadamia nut oil comes from the fruit of the macadamia tree native to Australia. Key benefits: extremely high quality oil with an exceptionally small molecule that penetrates and works below the skin's surface to soften and hydrate skin. One of the best regenerative oils available because it closely resembles sebum (the oil naturally produced by the skin to help protect it). A powerful skin protectant rich in palmitoleic acid - a naturally occurring fatty acid which protects and replenishes even the most harshly chapped and dry skin. Jojoba oil. What is it? Jojoba (pronounced ho-HO-ba) is a botanical extract of the seed of the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinenis), native to Arizona and California. Key benefits: a natural emollient that softens, moisturizes and protects skin through a lubricating, protective cushion. Was traditionally held in high regard by Native Americans of the Sonora Desert for its skin healing properties. Shea butter. What is it? Shea butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory-colored fat extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree. The tree grows naturally in sub-Saharan Africa. It produces its first fruit when it is about 20 years old and reaches its full production when the tree is about 45 years old. Key benefits: Shea butter is a 100% natural multi-purpose cream with vitamins A, E, and F. It is a natural plant fat with exceptional emollient and moisturizing properties, superb at alleviating skin dryness. Jack black products containing shea butter:

Glycolic acid. What is it? Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from various plant sources, milk, or are synthetically derived. Key benefits: AHAs have been widely used for therapy of photo-damaged skin, and also have been reported to normalize hyperkeratinization (over-thickened skin) and to increase visible epidermal thickness and dermal glycosaminoglycans content. Glycolic acid acts by dissolving the internal cellular cement responsible for abnormal keratinization, facilitating the sloughing of dead skin cells. It also improves skin hydration by enhancing moisture uptake. A vast amount of research has demonstrated that many of the unwanted changes to the skin due to aging can be improved by topical application of AHAs. Hyaluronic acid. What is it? Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is normally produced by the body. Hyaluronic acid is what gives skin its volume and fullness. Key benefits: Is used as a moisturizing agent and is capable of binding 1,800 times its own weight in water.
